Dr. Laura’s Metabolic Health Reset
A Small-Group Medical Program for Women
A clinician-guided, data-informed program to improve metabolic health, blood sugar balance, energy, hormones, and long-term health, without dieting or calorie counting
Metabolic health affects nearly everything, yet most women are never taught how to assess it or support it.
Metabolic health influences how your body regulates blood sugar, produces energy, balances hormones, manages inflammation, and ages over time.
When metabolic health is out of balance, women often notice:
- Energy crashes and fatigue
- Blood sugar swings, cravings, or “hanger”
- Abdominal weight gain
- Mood swings, anxiety, insomnia
- Irregular menstrual cycles, PMS, infertility, and perimenopause symptoms
- Brain fog, hard to focus
Many women are told to “eat better” or “try harder,” without ever being shown how their body is actually responding, or what to do differently.
This program is designed to change that.
A different approach to metabolic health
This Metabolic Health Reset is a clinician-led, small-group medical program for women who want to understand their metabolic health and improve it in a sustainable, physiology-based way.
This is not a diet. This is not calorie counting. This is not a one-size-fits-all plan.
Instead, this program combines:
- Medical assessment and interpretation
- Personalized education grounded in functional and preventive medicine
- Real-time feedback from your own body
- Practical, adaptable changes that fit into real life
The goal is long-term metabolic health and flexibility, not restriction or short-term results.

Is this program for you?
This program is a good fit if you want to:
- Understand your unique metabolism with a hands-on approach
- Reverse or prevent metabolic changes that happen with hormonal changes, like high cholesterol or abdominal weight gain
- Support regular menstrual cycles, ovulation, and fertility
- Reduce or eliminate perimenopause symptoms
- Regulate blood sugar and avoid highs and lows
- Improve energy and sleep
- Prevent the four common illnesses believed to be “normal” with aging: dementia, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
Women of all ages, all stages of hormonal life, and all body sizes belong here.
What we will work on, together:
Over the course of our time together, you will:
Weight regulation often improves as metabolic health improves, but weight loss is not the primary goal of this program.
An experiential, real-life learning process
This is not a passive program. You’ll apply what you learn in daily life and:
- Observe how different meals and snacks affect your energy, mood, and satiety
- Notice patterns related to stress, sleep, and timing of food
- Use real-time feedback, including a continuous glucose meter (CGM)
- Make small, meaningful adjustments
- Reflect on what you notice and share insights with the group
You’ll learn from your own experience, and from the experiences of other women in different bodies and life stages. This shared learning is one of the most powerful parts of the program.
Program Structure and Dates
Schedule: Group medical sessions:
- Six 90-minute Zoom sessions for education, assessment, assignments, and sharing
- Small group, time for everyone

Between sessions:
- Guided experimental tracking assignments: sleep, mood, energy, food, and use of a CGM
- Easy to fit into regular life, no laborious modules or lessons
- Ongoing private group chat for community, questions, and support
Because this is a small-group medical program, live attendance is strongly encouraged. Enrollment is limited to preserve the quality of the group experience.

Medical context
This clinician-led group medical program includes:

Is this the right next step for you?
If you are curious, engaged, ready to understand how your body works, and eager to optimize your metabolic health, this program is designed for you. It’s specifically meant to help:
Above all, optimizing your metabolic health is a foundation for preventing cardiovascular disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, and neurological decline. Good metabolic health sets you up for a long “healthspan,” so you can enjoy being vital and active for the rest of your days.

Why I created this program
Metabolic health underpins hormone balance, fertility, inflammation, cardiovascular risk, and long-term disease outcomes — yet it’s often overlooked in women’s care.
My own experience with gestational diabetes, a strong family history of type 2 diabetes, and a breast cancer diagnosis forced me to take a hard look at how metabolism shifts under stress and across life stages.
I created this class to share what I know works: physiology-based, sustainable strategies that I’ve used with hundreds of women to stabilize blood sugar and insulin, lower cholesterol, improve PCOS and fertility outcomes, reduce cardiometabolic and cancer risks, and rebuild metabolic resilience. This is the work I teach — and the work I’m actively doing for myself.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This is a clinician-led group medical program, not a nutrition class or coaching series. You receive medical assessment, lab orders with interpretation, guided use of continuous glucose monitoring, and education grounded in functional and preventive medicine.
While this is a group format, the program is highly individualized. You review your own labs and metabolic patterns, use personal CGM data to guide food and lifestyle decisions, and apply principles to your unique physiology, life stage, and goals. Group discussion enhances learning, but your insights and action steps are always grounded in your body and experience.
No. This program does not replace individualized medical visits. It’s designed to complement and enhance your existing medical care with preventive, educational, and interpretive guidance. It offers ongoing clinical context that many women never receive in standard care.
Metabolic health does not change in a weekend. This program is intentionally spaced every other week to allow time for
CGM data to reveal real patterns, iterative changes to meals, fasting, sleep, and stress, physiologic adaptation, and sustainable behavior change. This timeline is designed for results, not information overload.
CGMs are a core learning tool in this program and are strongly recommended. They allow you to see how food, stress, sleep, and fasting affect your blood sugar, make precise, confident adjustments without guessing, and build trust in your body’s feedback. If you do not qualify for insurance coverage, CGMs may be purchased separately at an additional cost. Guidance is provided after enrollment.
Participants receive access to clinically appropriate metabolic health labs, including markers related to blood sugar regulation, insulin sensitivity, and metabolic risk. Labs are ordered individually, and results are discussed and interpreted in the group context. Lab costs are not included and may be covered by insurance depending on your plan. A PPO insurance plan is likely to cover your labs, after any applicable copays or deductible. If you don’t have a PPO plan, and you need to pay out-of-pocket for labs, the cost is under $100 for a comprehensive metabolic health panel.
Yes. This program is appropriate for menstruating women, women trying to conceive, women navigating perimenopause, and menopausal women who want a data-informed, preventive approach.
Plan to spend 15–30 minutes per day engaging with the material through real-life application — observing meals, energy, mood, and blood sugar patterns. This is not extra “homework.” It’s learning through daily life.
Participants have access to an ongoing private group chat between sessions for questions, insights, and shared learning. This continuity is one of the most valuable aspects of the program and will help you stay engaged, supported, and consistent.
Live attendance is strongly encouraged, as discussion and shared learning are a key part of the program. If you need to miss an occasional session, limited replay access will be provided.
This program is a strong fit if you:
• Want to understand and improve your metabolic health
• Are interested in prevention, not quick fixes
• Value data-informed, clinician-guided care
• Are ready to engage actively and thoughtfully
